Paid Work Experience
Health, Safety, & Environment Intern

Summer 2025
As the Health, Safety, & Environment intern, I developed a streamlined digitized system for the Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) checks using Webalo, completed annual environmental reports, river surveys, and various chemical inventories. As a biosystems engineering student, I had prepared this summer to learn all
about environmental engineering at a paper mill; however, I got so much more experience beyond just environmental. I worked on projects specifically pertaining to Health and Safety, and I truly came to appreciate “environmental” engineering not only as the natural world around us, but the physical working environment as well.
COSAM Outreach Student Worker
COSAM (College of Science and Mathematics) Outreach

As a student worker for COSAM Outreach, my responsibilities include the planning, facilitation, and organization of COSAM Outreach events.
I was brought into this role because of my extensive background with the Georgia Science and Engineering Fair, and Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair to assist with Alabama Science and Engineering Fair that is hosted by Auburn University COSAM Outreach. My role is to assist in reviewing forms and projects, and in outreach and communication with regional fairs and schools
In this role, I have also been able to participate in a research project examining the effects of the implementation of certain science fair programs.
Library Courier, Circulation Student Worker, and Student Supervisor

As a library courier, my responsibilities include transporting materials between library branches and storage facilities and fulfilling patron delivery requests.
As a circulation student worker, my responsibilities include checking out materials, answering patron questions and supporting book circulation.
As a student supervisor, my role expands to supervising student circulation workers on the weekends and opening and closing the library.

As a sales associate, my responsibilities included knowing all product features and uses, understanding and conducting shoe fittings, and supporting the bi-annual tent sale event operations.
Childcare and Pet Sitting

In my childcare and pet sitting experiences, I was responsible for the care of many children of all ages, and many animals including horses, dogs, cats, lizards, rabbits, chickens, and more.

The Week of Service program is a student-led program designed to create community for incoming Honors freshmen, while learning about poverty in the Lee County area and beyond. We visit a new service site every morning, and then spend the afternoons reflecting on the service, learning more from a speaker, film, or other activities. The goal of the Week of Service is to serve as a call to action and inspire those to engage in serving their communities.

Organized holiday drives at Whitewater High School, collected and delivered personal hygiene items and winter necessities to persons in need across metro Atlanta.
Appalachian Service Project
Summer 2022
Outreach to Appalachian region to repair homes (roofs, ramps, siding, etc) to make them warmer, safer, and drier. This particular project involved installing a tin roof on a home.
